Ohio QSO Party 2006
The Ohio QSO Party is very active with amateur radio operator's from many states outside of Ohio. This is an excellent means to working those ham radio operators in Ohio counties that you may not have worked yet.
This event is described like this on their web site:
"Our mission is to put Ohio in the Amateur Radio spot light one weekend every year. This weekend is typically the last weekend in August and is blessed with CME's, radio black outs and whatever else the sun can throw at us."

This year was just about a complete bust for me, even those in Ohio had problems with propagation about 2 hours into the event.
My Ohio QSO Party Results for 2006:
8 phone contacts, 8 multipliers for a total score of 64. This wasn't even a decent check log!
