KK3Q Field Day 2006 Results
Field Day 2006 found me coming back into amateur radio after having been inactive for about 8 years. And then there was the infamous hurricane season that spared no one here in the southeastern United States. What this meant to me was the loss of my 2 element quad and the complete VHF antenna system. So I worked Field Day 2006 with a G5RV, a broken Butternut vertical and a Hy-Gain 4BTV and a brand new radio. And everyone knows how propagation has been the last couple of years. Anyway, I did fair to middlin' considering all the negative influences.
